Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: April 8, 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services and products provided by Mint Dental Hygiene & Whitening.

By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or receiving treatment, you agree to the following terms.

1. Appointments & Bookings

Appointments can be made online, by phone, or by email.

Some treatments require a deposit to secure your booking.

Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may reduce your treatment time or require rescheduling.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 24–48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Changes must be made via phone, text, the patient app, or your confirmation link within the allowable timeframe (not via email or social media).

Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a forfeited deposit or cancellation fee. Repeated missed appointments may require full prepayment for future bookings.

3. Client Responsibility & Disclosure

You agree to provide complete and accurate medical and dental information prior to treatment.

Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, pregnancy, or dental concerns may affect treatment outcomes and safety.

We reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment if it is deemed unsuitable or if oral health concerns are identified.

4. Suitability for Treatment & Clinical Assessment

All clients must complete a medical history and consent form prior to treatment.

Treatments are subject to clinical assessment to determine suitability and safety.

Teeth whitening is not recommended for individuals with untreated decay, gum disease, cracked teeth, active infection, orthodontic appliances, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for persons under 18 years of age.

If treatment is postponed for safety reasons, your deposit may be refunded or retained for a future appointment.

5. Informed Consent

Prior to treatment, you will be required to provide informed consent acknowledging:

  • The nature of the procedure

  • Potential risks and side effects (including temporary sensitivity or gum irritation)

  • That results vary between individuals

  • That no specific outcome is guaranteed

Consent may be withdrawn prior to treatment.

6. Results & Maintenance

Individual results vary depending on natural tooth shade, existing restorations, lifestyle factors, and adherence to aftercare instructions.

Whitening treatments affect natural teeth only and will not alter the colour of crowns, veneers, fillings, or dentures.

Results are not permanent and maintenance treatments may be required.

7. Sensitivity & Risks

Temporary tooth sensitivity or mild gum irritation may occur and is generally short-term.

By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge that you understand the potential risks and have had the opportunity to ask questions.

8. Aftercare Responsibility

You agree to follow all aftercare instructions provided. Failure to do so may impact results and increase sensitivity.

9. Payments

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

Accepted payment methods are listed on our booking platform.

Pricing may be updated from time to time and will be reflected in our booking system.

10. Take-home Products

Take home products must be used strictly in accordance with instructions provided.

We are not responsible for misuse, overuse, or failure to follow instructions.

11. Record Keeping & Privacy

Clinical records are created and securely stored in accordance with Australian legal and professional obligations.

Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles.

With your consent, relevant dental or oral health information may be shared with your dentist, specialist, or other health professional to support continuity of care.

12. Professional Scope

Services are provided by a qualified dental hygienist practising within their registered scope under Australian law and relevant professional standards.

Mint Dental Hygiene & Whitening provides dental hygiene and cosmetic whitening services only and does not provide general dental, restorative, orthodontic, or specialist dental treatment.

Where appropriate, clients may be referred to a dentist or specialist for further assessment or treatment.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Outcomes affected by undisclosed medical conditions

  • Pre-existing dental disease or structural issues

  • Conditions requiring diagnosis or treatment by a dentist

  • Failure to follow aftercare instructions

  • Variations in whitening results or natural relapse over time

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Updates to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
